KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PKR is solidly behind the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, says its chief Datuk Christina Liew.
She said they backed Shafie to lead the state government and that talk that party leaders were raising doubts over his leadership was baseless.
“The claim is not true.
“As far as Sabah PKR is concerned, the question of casting doubts over the Chief Minister’s stewardship does not arise at all,” she said in a statement here on Wednesday (March 4).
“We are an integral part of the Warisan-led government, and solidly stand behind him in his governance of the state,” Liew said.
She also dismissed talk that she was about to defect from her own party.
“I adhere to my principles of unwavering support, loyalty and integrity,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.
“As Api Api Assemblywoman and Tawau MP, I fully support the Chief Minister. He has proven his mettle in the last 21 months,” she added.
She said Sabah PKR had in all sincerity partnered with Parti Warisan Sabah, DAP and Upko to form the state ruling coalition following GE14 in May 2018 hailed as an unprecedented victory for democracy.
