PUTRAJAYA: Top graft buster Datuk Seri Azam Baki has been appointed the new Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner.
The Prime Minister’s Office in a statement Monday (Mar 9) said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has consented to Azam’s appoinment.
“The appointment takes effect from March 9,2020,” the PMO said.
The statement said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has also consented to shorten the contract of Latheefa Koya as MACC chief commissioner effective March 9.
“The government would like to express its appreciation to Latheefa for her service during her tenure as the MACC chief commissioner,” said the PMO.
