IPOH: The Pakatan Harapan leadership in Perak is still intact, and no members are jumping ship to form a new state government, says Tan Kar Hing.
The PKR state executive council member said the rumours were all just fake news by the other side.
“They are just making up stories to tell Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu that they are able to get the numbers to form the state government, even if the two from Bersatu and the Independent didn’t join them, ” he said in a live message post on Facebook.
The Perak state assembly has 59 seats. Umno holds 25 seats while PAS has three, DAP has 18, Amanah six, PKR has four and Bersatu has two.
Tualang Sekah assemblyman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi was an Umno representative who became an independent.
Tan added that the coalition was intact in the state, and he hoped Ahmad Faizal would continue to be with them.
“I know currently the Mentri Besar is in a difficult and desperate situation, after looking at the scenario in Johor and Melaka.
“We (Pakatan) will always support Ahmad Faizal as the Mentri Besar to continue to take care of the peoples’ mandate, carry out the responsibility, work on the manifesto, as well as to fight the opposing parties together, ” he added.
Tan said there was still so much more to do for the state.
“I know is not easy for him (Ahmad Faizal), but as a friend, I hope he takes a stern stand to move away from those embattled in corruption, and so forth, ” he added.
